Personal data being processed
TCC processes your personal data because you use the services of TCC and / or because you provide this data to TCC yourself, for example through your visit to the TCC website or via a comment under a blog post. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that are normally processed:
- Name;
- Email address;
- Your website;
- IP address;
- Device type (eg Desktop, laptop, or mobile phone);
- Other personal data that you actively provide, for example in a response you post or in correspondence;
- Information about your activities on the TCC website.
You are not required to provide your real name, email address, and / or website. After all, this is not necessary to be able to respond to a request or to make contact. Your real name and your e-mail address are, however, required for TCC to provide services to you.
Special and / or sensitive personal data
TCC does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless this visitor has permission from their parents or guardian. However, TCC cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16 years. TCC therefore advises parents to be involved in the online activities of their children in order to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you believe that personal information has nevertheless been collected from someone under the age of 16 without permission, please contact at website@counselcompany.nl to delete the data.
Purpose, basis, and retention period for processing personal data
TCC processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- When you fill in and send the contact form, your name, e-mail address, any website, your IP address, telephone number, and the content of the message will become visible to TCC. This data will be retained until you delete the comment or TCC removes the message.
- When you send TCC an email, TCC will see your email address, name, and the content of the email. TCC removes all e-mails of a year or older that are not relevant to the services provided by TCC once a year. These emails are solely retained for the statutory retention period associated with TCC's services.
- TCC uses Google Analytics to track visitor numbers and analyze your behavior on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the offer to your preferences. The tracking data via Google Analytics is stored for 14 months.
Automated decision making
TCC does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for you.
Sharing of personal data with third parties
TCC does not sell or share your information to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary or to comply with a mandatory legal obligation in accordance with the provisions of the general terms and conditions.
Cookies
TCC uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit the website. TCC uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferred settings are remembered. TCC also places cookies that track your surfing behavior, for example via Google Analytics. On your first visit to the website you are informed about the cookies and your permission has been asked to place them.
You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information previously stored via the settings of your browser. In principle, no cookies are placed by third parties on the TCC website.
View, correct, or delete data
By submitting your data on the website you have given TCC your consent to process it. You always have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data, except insofar as TCC has a legal obligation - for example on the basis of the (Dutch) WWFT - to keep this data. In addition, you have the right, subject to the aforementioned limitation, to withdraw your previously given consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by TCC and you have the right to data portability.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, transfer to third parties, a request for withdrawal of your consent, or an objection to the processing of your personal data to website@counselcompany.nl .
To ensure that the request for access has been made by yourself, you must enclose a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out your photo, your BSN, and any MRZ (machine readable zone; the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport). This is to protect your privacy. TCC will respond to your request within four (4) weeks.

Do you want to file a complaint about the way in which TCC protects your personal data? In the Netherlands, this is possible through the national regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
